SOLD Denim is a 13-year old Fully Registered Few Spot Appaloosa mare with Varnish. Leopard Appaloosa X Leopard Appaloosa. Reference Dam. Registered with the Appaloosa Horse Club #603957. She is a modest size at 13.3H (although she feels and appears a little larger and carries a tall rider with ease). She is nearly white, owing to her double appaloosa genes, but still striking with dark socks on her white body.

She is Parelli ground trained. She knows the Parelli "games" and is very easy to handle. She has her feet done regularly without protest. She loads in the trailer without hesitation. She groomes and bathes easily. She tacks easily and mounts from either side from the ground or using a mounting block. She rides with halter-only or simple snaffle bit. She lunges relaxed, has very snappy lateral flexion, a great "whoa" in-hand and under saddle.

She is no hot-house flower. She works under western saddle in a round pen, arena, or on back-woods trails, but needs some "brushing up". Since her owner became ill, Denim misses a daily companion. She is back on the trails now (with a family friend), but she needs a rider who will give her more attention: put in a little time to get her back into top condition after her lazy pasture vacation. She would make a wonderful teenager's horse, playday horse or beginner adult's horse.

Denim has been with us since she was a yearling - never passed around nor abused. She has never had any health issues of any kind. Her Coggins is up to date, and she has been vetted by the vet just a few months ago. Has also had her teeth professionally floated just recently. Denim has sound and square confirmation and exceptional feet that have never seen shoes. Her feet are regularly trimmed.

Breed your own project horse. Denim is also an amazing brood mare. Any appaloosa farm would be enhanced by her progeny (see some pictures below). She has been bred three times and produced stunning offspring every time. Her foals are loaded with flash, structure and style. AND every one is colored - one snowflake appaloosa and two leopard appaloosas. All have dark pigment, gentle natures and very fancy attitudes. Bred to a Caspian stallon, her foal was pony-size - perfect kids horse. Bred to a Friesian stallion, the foals were large and stout - great for trails, ranch work, even dressage.
